Experience the rhythms from Brazil, Africa, Cuba, India and more in our hour-long, explosive and interactive show! We introduce the kit drum, DJ equipment, and vocal mic, blending them together to make live Hip Hop Beats.

 

What your community will experience in one day

 

1-HOUR SHOW

• 20-min high-energy opening performance.

• 25-min exposé - Introducing drums, speaking of their origins, demonstrating techniques for each drum, then playing the rhythms associated with them.

• 15-min interactive experience – Using the traditional call-and-response system, audience members use their voice, clapping, and body percussion.

1-HOUR DRUM WORKSHOP - Up to 3 workshops with 20 participants each

• ​Learn the basics of how to play a hand drum (technique).

• Warm-up and fun, follow-along rhythmic games.

• Learn how to start and stop the rhythm.

• Explore three separate rhythmic patterns.

• Understand how all three patterns come together to make one rhythm.

 

“ BAREFOOT BOOGIE ”

A hit in every community! Commencing around 4 pm and continuing until just after dusk or a time agreed to by the community, for as long as the consent of the principal organizers in the community. The DJ pumps out the music, the drummers drum, and the community, young and old alike, get to barefoot boogie.
